She led them to a state finalist appearance in 2001 and finished in the top 8 in the state for another 3 years. Connie has been coaching club volleyball for approximately 26 years along with her director duties. The Merritt Island Lady Mustangs were District champs her last 5 years through 2001. Connie began her coaching career at Merritt Island High School in 1995 as the varsity coach and led them to 5 straight Cape Coast Conference titles in the late 1990's and early 2000's. Connie has been the director of Cape Coast Volleyball Club for 27 years.
